Oeam BigBang: Glorfindel and Erestor

Artist: mangacrack
Fandom: The Silmarillion / The Lord of the Rings
Characters: Glorfindel, Erestor
Rating: PG-13
Notes: I have actually never read the story. I just got a discribtion and I was very happy with that. So please note that my author burning_night intended to make Erestor Amrod's son. Hence the slightish red hair. But I'm so glad I signed up late, I learned so much during the time I painted the pictures.

God that man. I love the hair and like how the texture turned out. I'm also pleased that the skin is smooth for once, but face still doesn't fit somehow. There's also no background. Wasn't planned and now I regret it.

Erestor! Picture fits! Hair! Clothing! The Sky! Shadow's (mostly). Face looking like a face. Yay!
Just ignore the beach :D

Very, very nice! Lots of character in the faces - and I lie your beach.

Thank you and ... really? I was afraid it didn't look like a beach at all.

It's the storm that drives the action in the background, I think, and the way it makes the beach look like the stormy waves are rising higher than normal on it, nearly up to the greenery line.

Very good renderings. Noticed you made Erestor as a dark elf, yet his son is blonde?

The elf above isn't his son, it's Glorfindel. I'm sorry if this was confusing. The story dictated that Erestor was the son of Amrod and befrieding Glorfindel.

Oh! Got it. And yes, Glorfindel was a 'fair' elf. You've nearly captured my own personal mental picture of him.

I just wanted to stop by to say even though I never managed to get the story up, thank you so much for doing the art for it! These are amazing - the textures especially are awesome, and the background on the second is great, especially the clouds in the sky! They look so real!

So, thanks again! I'm glad the experience was a fun one :D

(P.S. The problem with getting up turned out to be me misplacing the finished file (different computer? Memory stick? I don't know but if it's lost forever I will cry), but I do still have the almost-complete file if you did want to read that xD)

I would love to read to story. Or what you have of it at least.
It was still fun working with your idea.
